Estate Worker

Role Description
To assist in the maintenance of the 140 acre woodland garden and general duties involved with the upkeep of the wider estate and woodlands.

Essential:
• Full Driving Licence.
• Physical fitness – healthy & fit.
• Able to work at height.
• Able to follow procedures and instructions as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and committed to delivering high standards.
• Flexibility to respond to a range of different work situations.
• Ability to work on their own outside in rain and shine (as part of the estate maintenance team, you must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions).
• Awareness of Health & Safety protocols.
• Removing vegetation with various cutting equipment ranging from strimmers to mowers or by burning.
• New planting.
Desirable:
• Additional licences to be secured and maintained by/with the support of the Estate including but not limited to:
◦ Pa1 Pa6 – Use of Pesticide and Chemical Sprayer certification.
◦ NPTC and Lantra Chain saw, cross cutting and tree felling certification.
• Experience in a similar role or related field ie: woodland garden /maintenance role.

39 hour working week Monday-Friday.
Salary dependent on experience.
Own transport necessary.
