About Caerhays Estate

Introducing Caerhays Estate and the Williams Family

The Estate is located in the sheltered Porthluney valley on the south Cornish coast, equal distance between St. Austell and the county town of Truro. It has been in the Williams family since 1855 and today welcomes over 15000 visitors a year to the internationally renowned gardens and castle during the spring.

The Castle & Family

Caerhays Castle is now a family home to the Williams’ family and a visitor attraction on the South Cornish coast, near St Austell.

Hire Caerhays

Caerhays is a wonderful venue for all sorts of events, functions and celebrations.

The Garden

The Garden covers over 140 acres, and is a traditional woodland garden best viewed in the spring. There are signposted walks around the garden of varying length.

The Farm

Caerhays home farm is 800 acres of mixed farmland with sheep, cattle, and arable crops.

Minerals

The Williams Caerhays Mineral collection is the product of generations of collecting.

The Church
