Magnolia Mania will descend on Caerhays Castle & Gardens this March, and for the entire month our team will be dressed in pink, shaking donation buckets and organising special walks and tours of our grounds in aid of youth breast cancer charity, CoppaFeel!
As you know, we’re renowned for our 140 acres of stunning woodland gardens, National Collection of Magnolias – one of only four in the country – award-winning historic ornamental camellias, rhododendrons, azaleas and a vast collection of champion trees. Magnolia Mania is a true celebration of the beauty of the gardens during spring.
Our fundraising will last for the entire month of March and will include a weekly ‘Guided Garden Tour for Charity’ and a ‘Mother’s Day Celebration’ at the gardens on Sunday March 30th. Read on for more information about these special events.
Guided Garden Tour for Charity every Thursday in March
We will be offering a Guided Garden Tour for Charity every Thursday in March at 10:30am. Each walk can accommodate 20 people, first come first served! The tour itself is free to join, but donations to CoppaFeel! are invited on the day or via our JustGiving page.
If you’d like to join us for the weekly Guided Garden Tour for Charity, then pay to enter the garden as normal and meet us outside the Exhibition Room in the castle courtyard before 10:30 for the tour. The tour is limited to 20 people, first come first served.
Mother’s Day Celebration including an optional Magnolia Mania Fundraising Walk
Join us on Mother’s Day, Sunday March 30th 2025, as we celebrate the culmination of a wonderful month of Magnolia Mania, proudly supporting CoppaFeel!
Enjoy our spectacular pink magnolias in full bloom, and know that 25% of the price of every entrance ticket sold on March 30th will go directly to CoppaFeel!
There is also the option to join a free, celebratory guided walk of the garden at 10:30am on March 30th, led by Charles Williams – the owner of the Caerhays Estate. If you plan to walk with us then please help us ‘paint the garden pink’ by wearing something pink! Whether it’s a favourite t-shirt, beanie or knee high socks – feel free to express yourself!
The guided walk will take approximately one hour and visitors will get to experience the incredible sights, colours and smells of Magnolia Mania. Walking boots are recommended and wet weather gear is always good to have just in case! The walk is free to join, but additional donations to CoppaFeel are very welcome either on the day or via our JustGiving page.

More about CoppaFeel!
CoppaFeel! are the UK’s only youth focused breast cancer awareness charity, and they’re on a mission to get every 18-24 year old checking their chest. The charity’s founder Kris Hallenga was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer at the age of just 23 and went on to live in Newquay, where she cherished the adventures of life in Cornwall until her death in 2024 at the age of 38.
CoppaFeel! educate people on the signs and symptoms of breast cancer and encourage them to check their chests regularly, so that if they notice something unusual they are empowered to contact their GP and advocate for themselves. CoppaFeel! do this because, when diagnosed early and accurately, breast cancer treatments are more effective and survival rates are higher. Early detection truly can save lives.
Ellie Baldwin, Head of Individual Giving at CoppaFeel! says “We’re delighted to have the support of Caerhays Castle & Gardens this March, in what will hopefully be a great way of encouraging people to get out into nature and experience the beauty of the pink magnolias. Not only will visitors get to enjoy the stunning gardens, but also raise vital funds and awareness for CoppaFeel! to ensure all breast cancers in young people are diagnosed early and accurately, improving their chances of survival. Hiking and adventures have long formed part of our fundraising activities, so this chance to walk around one of Cornwall’s most beautiful gardens feels very aligned with CoppaFeel! and what our charity is all about.”
If you’d like to support CoppaFeel! you can either donate in person when you visit the garden, or via our JustGiving page.
