Caerhays Castle Spring Gardens is open for the 2024 season
Every year, spring always seems to take us by surprise at Caerhays. It only seems five minutes since we were adorning the Christmas tree with fairy lights, yet now the camellias are flowering, and the magnolia’s velvet jackets are bursting open. If you are a regular visitor to Caerhays Estate, you will know only too well how the weather can accelerate, or slow down, the blooming of our award-winning gardens; the rhythm of each season is distinct from the last.
2024 opening dates
We’re delighted to announce that Caerhays Castle Spring Gardens opened on the 12th February, so we’re now well into the swing of the season. Many visitors make the most of spring by purchasing an individual, joint or family season pass which offers unlimited entry into the gardens, as well as free parking at Porthluney beach, for the duration of the season.
As a warm welcome to local visitors, and a celebration of spring, Caerhays Castle Spring Gardens are offering local residents half price entry into the gardens on the following weekends:
- 24th-25th February
- 2nd–3rd March
- 9th–10th March
All TR and PL postcodes are included in the half price entry offer. Simply bring proof of your address to the entry point, and we will do the rest.

Caerhays has a National Collection of Magnolias, and so much more to see
If you have yet to experience the magic of Caerhays, you will find magnolia blooms almost as large as your head, some the colour of darkest raspberry, and others in shades of palest yellow. Of course, as part of our National Magnolia Collection, we have all the colours in between too!
As you explore the 140 acres of woodland gardens you’ll relax into the serenity of Caerhays; the distractions of the outside world drift away, leaving only rhododendrons, azaleas and camellias to jostle for your attention.
The Caerhays Castle Spring Gardens are open daily from Monday 12th February – Sunday 16th June, 10am – 5pm (last entry at 4pm).
The Castle is open for guided tours from Monday 11th March – Friday 7th June (weekdays only).
