Once again a cabinet from the Williams Caerhays Mineral Collection drew much attention and received accolades from the world’s mineral cognoscenti at the Munich Mineral Show in October.
The theme for this year’s display was the ‘Bryce McMurdo Wright Miniature Cabinet’ comprising 51 of the finest specimens in the collection, which was a ‘one off’ commissioned order circa 1870 by John Michael Williams (1813-1880). The collection was assembled by Bryce McMurdo Wright senior (1814-1874) the leading mineral dealer in the United Kingdom in the Victorian era.’
