THE CASTLE & GARDENS ARE NOW CLOSED AND WILL RE OPEN ON THE 10TH FEBRUARY 2025

As the spring gardens here at Caerhays are closed to the public due to the virus, we thought you might like to see what is currently out at the end of March.

Charles spotlights three Magnolias today.

First Magnolia ‘Star Wars’ which is a record sized tree for the UK, looking great.

Second M. veitchii which is over 100 years old and probably around 120ft tall.

Lastly an evergreen M. doltsopa, which is in full flower, heavily scented and looking wonderful. This plant was previously known as Michelia doltsopa, but is now reclassified as a Magnolia. This one is about 20 years old.
