Most eloping couples are choosing picturesque UK venues
Censuswide research conducted for Ginger Ray reported that Google searches for ‘Elopement Weddings’ increased by 83% in 2024, with demand for ‘Elopement Wedding packages in the UK’ rising by 85% – so it’s good to see our observations are backed up by the research!
Elopement traditionally conjures images of travelling overseas, however this same research reports that 77% of eloping couples are now choosing to say their vows in a picturesque part of the UK, and almost 1 in 5 of these couples nationwide decides on Cornwall – a great decision in our opinion!
Introducing new immersive wedding experiences at The Vean
In response to this rising demand for Cornish elopements, we’ve launched a new immersive wedding experience at The Vean, a beautifully restored Georgian country house and our most intimate venue. We specialise in unique weddings of all sizes, and in fact all of our licensed wedding areas are completely unforgettable in their own distinct ways, however The Vean is specifically designed for groups of 2-20 people, so is the perfect size and setting to meet this need.
